Fred was a true gentlemen and his passion for horses and flat racing led to our mutual friendship. His professional role prior to retirement made him an enthusiastic educator and he generously shared his knowledge and experience of all matters racing and on a broad range of topics. We count ourselves lucky to have known Fred, his influences and ideas will remain with us. May he rest in peace.
